First Aid Courses

First Aid courses accepted by British Showjumping include:

• A two-day initial BHS First Aid course booked through BHS
• A one-day refresher BHS first aid course booked through the BHS
• A three-day initial first aid at work (FAW) course which meets the HSE criteria and guidelines
• A two-day refresher FAW course which meets the HSE criteria and guidelines
• A one-day Equestrian Specific Emergency First Aid course which is clearly identified on the certificate and booking site as relevant for the equine industry
• British Showjumping do not accept one day Emergency First Aid at Work qualifications

If you have never held a First Aid qualification before you will need to complete the initial qualifications held over two or three days.

If you are renewing a First Aid qualification you will need to complete a refresher course. If your First Aid qualification has lapsed, you will need to contact the First Aid provider to find out if you can attend a refresher or if you will need to complete an initial qualification.
