Nicole Pavitt and Casque D’Or bring home the win in the Redpost Equestrian Senior Foxhunter Masters

The Redpost Equestrian Senior Foxhunter Championship Final is one of the most sought-after competitions for British Showjumping members. This makes the Masters class at the British Showjumping National Championships particularly significant, as it offers riders a final opportunity to qualify.

A total of 29 riders tackled Krissy Spiller’s 1.30m course, all vying for a place in the jump-off. Eleven riders successfully cleared the fences and advanced to the final round.

The jump-off was fiercely contested, with six of the seven clear rounds separated by just 0.84 seconds. Nicole Pavitt emerged victorious aboard Casque D’Or, stopping the clock at 40.19 seconds—1.81 seconds faster than second-placed Katie Pytches, who secured her position by a mere 0.21 seconds.

Reflecting on her performance, Nicole, riding Amber Dundock’s 8-year-old stallion, said, “in the jump-off, he was phenomenal. He answered every question, and he’s just a really nice horse.”

When asked about her strategy for the class, Nicole commented: “To qualify! My goal was to be in the top four, especially since there were 11 going into the jump-off and only four spots available. It’s an advantage having four spots today compared to just two in previous qualifiers, but you’ve still got to clear the jumps!”

This marks the second qualification for Nicole and Casque D’Or, who, despite only competing together for four months, have also secured a place in the Talent Seekers Final at the Horse of the Year Show.

With the conclusion of the Redpost Equestrian Senior Foxhunter Masters, the qualifying rounds have officially ended, and the focus now shifts to the final at HOYS. For the most up-to-date list of qualified riders, visit British Showjumping.
