Drew Bonar from Kent is July’s NAF Shining Star

Drew Bonar has been awarded the NAF Shining Star for July after being a committed member of the Academy and a great team player which led Katy Ford to nominate him for the award on behalf of the Kent academy. Fifteen year-old Drew from Sevenoaks, Kent has shown great enthusiasm and is a joy to have in the Kent academy.

“Drew and his pony Rich Faith have formed an instant bond and incredible relationship, he is such a team player and a great member of the academy and one we are all really excited to see where the future takes him with Rich Faith” commented Katy.

After finding out he was the winner of July’s NAF Shining Star, Drew said “I am so delighted to receive the NAF Shining Star Award after a challenging but fun summer. I have every belief that my new pony Rich Faith will continue to shine!”

Lisa Field from NAF added “It is fantastic to hear about Drew and his team spirit within the academy. It is exciting to hear about the bond and relationship he has instantly formed with his pony Rich Faith and we look forward to following their progress throughout 2021 and beyond. Congratulations Drew, a worthy winner of this month’s NAF Shining Star!”

The NAF Shining Star Award was introduced when NAF became a British Showjumping Business Partner. The award is for members of a Junior Academy who have shown a great deal of commitment, progression, and outstanding behavior along with their riding ability and much more. Riders are nominated by their lead coach, and then judged and awarded by NAF to one person each month.
