Emma Crawford wins the Voltaire Design Under 25 British Championship Qualifier at Aintree Equestrian Centre

The first Voltaire Design Under 25 British Championship Qualifier took place on Friday evening during the Winter Classic Show at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool.
The qualifier saw the three highest placed under 25 riders, disregarding those already qualified, gain a qualifying ticket for the Voltaire Design Under 25 British Championship at Olympia, The London International Horse Show which takes place between the 16th – 20th December 2021.
Twenty one year-old Emma Crawford from Cupar, Fife took the win and picked up the prize for the highest placed under 25 with her mother Lynn Crawford’s Dukes of Hazzard, a 9 year-old bay gelding. The pair produced a solid double clear in 33.05 seconds around the technical course designed by Rafael Suarez.
Chloe Reynolds from Bridgewater, Somerset steered Chad Fellows Vanilla Fusion, a 9 year-old grey mare into third place overall with a double clear in 34.32 seconds which gained her the second highest placed Under 25 rider.
Twenty four year-old James Whitaker from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire placed fifth overall and took the third qualifying ticket for the Under 25’s with Ellen Lutener Caloro Ex Z, a 13 year-old dark brown gelding. They finished with four faults in 33.97 seconds.
