Jack Whitaker claims victory in the Winter Grand Prix at Science Supplements Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex Ltd

Last night saw Science Supplements Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex Ltd host the sixth Winter Grand Prix at their Winter Classic Show and it was Jack Whitaker from Whatton, Nottingham riding Negredo de Muze owned by his father Michael Whitaker who claimed victory.

A starting field of forty-seven combinations came forward to tackle the thirteen fence course designed by David Cole, with thirteen jumping clear to come forward for the jump off. The nine year-old bay gelding was accurately steered round the nine fence jump off track by Jack to take the win stopping the clock in 43.11 seconds.

Close on their heels and taking second place was Nottinghamshire’s Louise Saywell riding Kings Borough Kasper a nine year-old black stallion owned by Ian Dowie crossing the finish line clear in 43.27 seconds. Third place was filled by Joseph Fernyhough and Iejoor clear in a time of 44.46 seconds.
