SCOTTISH ACADEMIES TEAM SHOWS A ROARING SUCCESS!

The Lanarkshire Junior Academy ran their first Team Show on Saturday 9th November 2013. With the amazing organisation skills of Training Co-Ordinator, Gillian Beattie, and the Team at West Kype Farm, the busy day ran extremely efficiently even with the fickle weather threatening to cause a wash out, the riders persevered and had a fantastic day.
With the amazing number of twenty-nine Teams taking part on the day, Gillian had organised times for each rider to jump which allowed people to arrive in time for their slot. UKCC Level 3 Coach and Club Course Designer Andrew Wilson along with Club Course Designer Gillian Anderson built super tracks and ensured the warm up ring was efficient and under British Showjumping rules. John Ormiston judged the competition and kept everyone right on the day.
The Show was run to raise money for the Lanarkshire Junior Academy funds which will allow the members of the Academy to receive more help in their training and education.

The Edinburgh & Borders Junior Academy held their Team Competition on Saturday 16th November 2013 at Lasswade Riding Centre in Edinburgh, organised by Training Co-Ordinator, Anne Morris, along with Marjory McNaughton and her team. Again, this show was very well supported.
Even with the later start of 3pm on a Saturday night the riders arrived in their droves to jump, with over 6 teams per section the show ran well into the night.
Course Designer, John Ormiston ensured good tracks were built throughout the evening while Marjory McNaughton took time out of her busy schedule to keep score all night.
With an efficient team in place and a nice warm cafe with good food for the spectators the night was a great success.
