2009 Rolex FEI World Cup Jumping Final

A total of sixty horses were flown in from all over the world to compete at the Rolex FEI World Cup Finals to be held in Las Vegas, USA this week. Thirty-five European based Jumping and Dressage horses, including Britain’s Ben Maher and Michael Whitaker, left Liege airport in Belgium on Saturday and arrived, without incident in las Vegas after a direct flight that took ten and a half hours.
 
Fourty-six riders from twenty two countries have confirmed their participation in the 2009 Rolex FEI World Cup Jumping Final taking place at the Thomas and Mack Centre in Las Vegas later this week. Schedule of events is as follows:

Noon Las Vegas Jumping Grand Prix

Great Britain will have two representatives at this year’s Final: twenty-six year old Ben Maher from Bishops Stortford in Hertfordshire with the eleven year-old bay gelding, Robin Hood W, a horse Ben jointly owns with Emma and Mike Phillips of the Quainton Stud. Ben will be joined by Michael Whitaker from Whatton in Nottinghamshire will ride Gillespie Equestrian’s fifteen year-old bay mare, Suncal Portofino 63.
