BRITISH BREEDING TRIUMPHS AT THE BRITISH YOUNG HORSE SHOW WITH ARGENTO WINNING THE 7 YEAR OLD CHAMPIONSHIP

The British Young Horse Championships took place at Addington Manor from 4th - 7th August and were hailed a huge success. The Show was a viewing venue for the BEF Equine Pathway, selecting horses with a view to the 2010 World Championships and the 2012 London Olympics. Also the selection for the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses to be held at Zangersheide, Lanaken, Belgium on 24th to 27th September 2009.

The BSJA/BEF Equine Pathway, supported by the World Class Programme through UK Sport and Lottery Funding, offered a prize fund which was shared between all the horse and rider combinations that consistently jumped fault free rounds over the three days of the Show. The four year old British bred and non-British bred horses were the first to compete for the Championship title. There were a total of seven British bred double clears and 8 non-British bred which meant they all shared first place as there was no timed round.
