British Equestrian welcomes the return of Toggi as team suppliers

In 2006, the British riders, vaulters, drivers, owners, grooms and support staff headed to the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany under one banner and all proudly sporting unified team kit for the first time. The brand behind that kit was Toggi. Today, British Equestrian is delighted to confirm Toggi’s return as the ‘official supplier of casual performance clothing’ to members of the British Equestrian Team and the Equestrian World Class Programme athletes and practitioners.

In a new deal, Toggi, part of the Finest Brands International stable, will clothe all senior team athletes and their support staff under the auspices of the Federation for FEI team competitions and championships, plus riders and practitioners on the Lottery-funded UK Sport Equestrian World Class Programme.

The new range for British Equestrian (BEF) features four products made with innovative, breathable fabrics and designed with activity and practicality in mind. The BEF Defender jacket is designed to keep the wearer dry inside and out while the GBR Inbetweener is a perfect mid layer for all conditions, finished in a supersoft fabric to give a technical fit. The BEF Airy Polo is a revelation with its technical fabric and styling. The clothing is all complemented by the BEF Shady baseball cap which offers UPF 50+ protection.

“We’re excited to have Toggi back on board. A great deal of thought and consideration has gone into this range for us, from fabrics that perform to a sporting fit, the riders, grooms, owners and staff are looking forward to donning the new kit. The first group of riders have had a polo and cap and are extremely impressed. We’re grateful to Toggi for this support as being kitted out as a team is more than just clothing, it engenders a sense of belief, pride and belonging,” commented World Class Performance Director Richard Waygood.

Over the coming months over 4500 items will be distributed to riders, drivers, vaulters and support crew which is quite a logistical task under the restrictions of COVID. Athletes will have access to Toggi’s sister brand Champion, for state of the art protective safety equipment. Their stylish range of helmets and body protectors cover athletes in all disciplines.

Sarah-Jane Fedarb, Managing Director of Finest Brands International, the parent company behind the Toggi and Champion brands, commented “We are delighted to be working with the BEF once again to ensure that our British Equestrian Teams have a high performance team kit that they can be proud to wear.

“We are driven by a love of equestrian sport in all we do, and are committed to putting something back into the sports in which our products and brands have been so successful. Renewing our partnership with British Equestrian is a development we are extremely excited about, we are all so proud of the new British Equestrian collection and can’t wait to see our great British Equestrian teams in action again at championships around the world sporting Toggi.”

Supporters of British Equestrian’s teams and riders will be able to purchase their very own replica supporters’ kit, available online and in store through selected equestrian retailers nationwide. And what’s more, a percentage of every sale will be donated towards helping fund our horses and riders in their quest for medals.
