British Showjumping Team announced for CSIO5* Brussels FEI Nations Cup

Following an invitation to compete in the CSIO5* Nations Cup of Brussels (BEL), the following team have been selected to represent Great Britain. The competition takes place between the 22nd – 27th August 2023 at the Brussels Stephex Masters, Belgium.

  • Scott Brash, from West Sussex, with the 9-year-old grey gelding Hello Valentino, owned by Lady Pauline Kirkham and Lady Pauline Harris.
     
  • Harry Charles, from Hampshire, with the 12-year-old bay mare Aralyn Blue, owned by Ann Thompson.
  • Sienna Charles, from Hampshire, with the 13-year-old bay mare Stardust, jointly owned by Heathcroft Farm and Stall Zet.
     
  • Ben Maher, from Hertfordshire, with the 14-year-old bay gelding Exit Remo, owned by Charlotte Rossetter and Pamela Wright.
     
  • John Whitaker, from West Yorkshire, with the 15-year-old bay gelding Equine America Unick Du Francport, jointly owned by Clare and John Whitaker.

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Friday, 25 August at 19:45 local time (18:45 BST), while the Grand Prix will be on Sunday, 27 August at 14:00 local time (13:00 BST). The Chef d’Équipe for the team will be Di Lampard.

The GBR showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage. The teams are further supported by LeMieux, who supply the teams with their saddlepads and rugs.
