British Showjumping’s Veteran Squad announced for Veteran European Championship

The following Veteran squad has been selected to represent Great Britain at the FEI Jumping Veteran European Championships. The competition takes place between 7th – 10th September 2023 in Hardelot, France.

Meet the squad:

  • Sarah-Jane Brown, from Cornwall, with her own 12-year-old bay mare, Dolmen Du Concorde.
     
  • Tamsin Conyers, from Norwich, with her own 10- year-old bay gelding, Westlife.
     
  • Nicola Frankland, from West Sussex, with her own 16-year-old grey gelding, Kings Welcome.
     
  • James Loffet, from Gloucestershire, with his own 12-year-old chestnut gelding, Gaudi.
     
  • Faye Riddington-Smith from Buckinghamshire, with her own 11-year-old grey gelding, Heron.

The Chef d’Équipe for the Veteran Squad will be Mandy Frost.

 

Timetable

The Team and Individual competitions will take place on the following days:

Thursday 7th September: Individual 1st round and Team 1st round

Friday 8th September: Individual 2nd round and Team Final

Sunday 10th September: Individual Final Grand Prix

Team Support

The GBR Showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage. The teams are further supported by LeMieux, who supply the teams with saddlepads.
