BRITISH YOUTH SHINES IN BARBIZON

Britain’s youngsters led the way in Barbizon over the weekend, securing victory in four competitions, including two Grand Prix.
 
Sixteen year-old Pippa Allen from Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland opened the winners tally, taking victory in the 1.20m Pony class aboard Duncan Inglis’ nine year-old grey gelding Maradonna.
 
Fifteen year-old Abigail Newbery from Southampton in Hampshire, took runner up spot in the Junior Grand Prix riding Tony Newbery and Fiona Dunning’s sixteen year-old bay gelding, Kestor.
 
The Pony Grand Prix was a victory once again for Pippa Allen riding Maradonna with thirteen year-old Jessica Mendoza from Chippenham, Wiltshire finishing in third riding Sarah Mendoza’s eleven year-old chestnut mare Tixylix.
 
Fourteen year-old Laura Robinson from Northallerton, North Yorkshire took the win in the Childrens Grand Prix with Geoffrey Robinson’s seven year-old bay mare Cashmira, whilst Timothy Wilks, 14, from Henley-On-Thames, Oxon finished third with Caroline Wilks’ seven year-old chestnut gelding, Disco II.
 
Fifteen year-old Chloe Aston from Tring in Hertfordshire finished the British winning haul by topping the Junior Accumulator riding Joanne Aston’s fourteen year-old bay mare Lilly III.
