BSJA Show Jumper of the Month

WILLIAM FUNNELL IS BSJA SHOW JUMPER OF THE MONTH JUNE 2009
William Funnell from  Forest Green, Dorking, Surrey has been voted BSJA Show Jumper of the Month for June 2009 in recognition of his third Hickstead Derby win. William riding Julie Slade’s15 year old, 17hh bay gelding Mondriaan won his third Hickstead Derby in June. This achievement, as only the 9th rider in it’s history to win the Derby 3 or more times, the panel felt warranted the June Show Jumper of the Month award.
 
Patrick Riley of sponsors Zamar TTT quoted, “Will’s win at the Hickstead Derby was the perfect example of how it should be done and an amazing partnership between man and horse! .”
