Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round at Lane Farm Equestrian

Lane Farm Equestrian in Bedlington, Northumberland hosted a Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round on Sunday 6th October 2013. Fourteen eligible combinations came forward to contest this second round and eight of these combinations took home one of the direct qualifying places on offer for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, which take place at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool during the 14th – 17th November 2013.
The jump off was contested by eight combinations and it proved to be competitive, with just three double clears being produced. The eventual winner was 29 year-old Emerson Sander from Richmond, North Yorkshire on Hamilton H, a 9 year-old bay gelding owned by Leslie Moorhouse. The combination completed their winning round from about halfway through the jump off, securing their double clear in 31.11 seconds.
Second place was taken by 16 year-old Anna Aldred from County Durham on Heeran Molly, a 9 year-old skewbald mare owned by Jill Aldred. The combination completed their double clear in 32.08 seconds to secure a top two finish.
Third place went to 30 year-old Danielle Blair from Carlisle, Cumbria with her own 12 year-old brown gelding, Urion T. This combination delivered the third and final double clear of the second round in a time of 34.66 seconds.
Five more riders also achieved their qualification for the Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Championship Final.
