Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships 2012 Results

After four days of exciting competition at the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships, the new National Amateur & Veteran Champions of 2012 have been crowned. The Championships took place at Aintree International Equestrian Centre during the 15th – 18th November and over the four days, a total of 1,227 entries were taken.
 
The winners from the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur & Veteran Championships were as follows:
 
The Dodson & Horrell National Amateur 0.90cm Champion was 17 year-old Rowan Ball from Edinburgh, Midlothian and she rode her mother’s (Ruth Ball) 11 year-old grey mare Vandora.  
 
The Dodson & Horrell National Amateur 1.00m Championship was taken by 31 year-old Gemma Dickens from Loughborough, Leicestershire and she won on board Oakley’s Ace, a 21 year-old bay gelding owned by Lesley Dickens.
 
The winner of both the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur 1.10m and 1.15m Championships was 27 year-old Michaela Huntington from Braintree, Essex riding her own 8 year-old grey mare, Zula Maeva
 
Successfully defending his titles from last year was Norman Proffitt from Cannock, Staffordshire. A well known name at these championships, Norman won both the Dodson & Horrell Minor and Major Veteran Riders Championships on board Audrey Evans’ 15 year-old bay gelding, Patent, the horse with whom he won his 2011 titles.
