Following concerns raised about a cryotherapy unit being advertised for use at a British Showjumping affiliated show, the National Sport Committee have agreed to follow the FEI and the below rule addition is effective from Thursday, 11th July 2024 at 11.00hrs.

Rule 97.2 Prohibited Supportive Therapies at British Showjumping Shows and Training activities.

1. The use of Class IV lasers is prohibited.

2. The use of electroacupuncture and moxibustion is prohibited.

3. Cryotherapy and shock wave therapy (i.e. extra-corporal shockwave, ESWT) are prohibited and in the 5 days prior to the Events.

4. Kinesiology taping is only permitted in the stables area. Its use outside the stables area is prohibited.
