Georgie Strutton takes the first Tri-Zone Newcomers Second Round

Georgie Strutton from Steyning, West Sussex rode Kevin Crumley’s 6 year old, 16hh dark bay British bred gelding Strijder IV, by Shearwater Olivier to a
convincing victory in the first Tri-Zone Newcomers second round held at Towerlands Equestrian Centre in Essex. Georgie and Strijder jumped three good clear rounds finishing the second jump off in 36.94 seconds. The second qualifying place went to Lola Wade from Haslemere, Surrey riding Laura Renwick’s 6 year old chestnut gelding Bacardi van Overis Z who completed his third clear round in 37.38 seconds
Louise Pavitt riding the Brendon Stud’s Nederland Esquire took third place with Corinne Nash and her own Cash 132 in fourth, Nathan Grant and his own Warwick took fifth and Steven Franks with Old Lodge’s Abdul Aziz in sixth.

The first and second prize winners have qualified to compete in the Tri-Zone Senior Newcomers Championship at Horse of the Year Show, NEC on Wednesday 6th October and the first five qualify to compete at the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival to be held at Stafford County Showground from 29th August to 4th September 2010
