HORSE & COUNTRY TV AIRS GLOBAL CHAMPIONS TOUR LIVE

Thursday 03 July 2014

Horse & Country TV (Sky 280 and on smartphone, tablet and laptop via horseandcountry.tv/everywhere) has a special treat in store for British Equestrian fans this weekend with its first-ever live broadcast. The channel will be showing the Grand Prix from the Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris from 7.00pm on Saturday 5th July. The broadcast finishes at 9.00pm.

Paris is the halfway point of the 14-leg 2014 Longines Global Champions Tour and runs from the 4th to the 6th of July. World number two, Ben Maher will be hoping to improve on his second place at the LGCT Hamburg Grand Prix in May with his horse Cella. Michael Whitaker will also be looking to repeat his win from last year’s LGCT Madrid Grand Prix on Amai.

Jonathan Rippon, Head of Programming at Horse & Country TV said, “We know how much our viewers love to follow the top riders in prestigious competitions and nothing beats the thrill of live coverage. This will be the first of many international shows that we will be broadcasting live throughout 2014 and demonstrates our commitment to making the best competitions accessible to all our viewers.”
