IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FEI HORSE & RIDER REGISTRATIONS
Monday 08 February 2010

Referring to the FEI General Regulations Art 113, as per below:
Article 113 - Registration of Athletes and Horses
3. Any Athlete and/or any Horse who is not registered with the FEI shall be automatically disqualified.
The registration system is today linked to the results publications and noting that a large number of NFs have still not registered Horses and Athletes for 2009, the FEI is proposing the following procedure to meet the requirements for Athletes/Horses who have competed in FEI Competitions not registered with the FEI in compliance with Art 113 of the FEI General Regulations.
2009
· In respect of new Athletes/Horses who have never been registered to date with the FEI prior to competing in 2009, such registration must be fully completed prior to the 31st March 2010 in order for their 2009 results to be validated. Any Athletes/Horses who cannot be clearly identified by that date will be disqualified from the event in question as per the above article.
· For Athletes/Horses whose registrations were not renewed for the 2009 year, the FEI has decided not to impose Art 113.3 with respect to 2009 only. The relevant results will now be finalised based upon the registration details the FEI has on file.
2010
Article 113 will be strictly applied and all Athletes/Horses must be registered prior to taking part in an FEI event. If such registration is not completed, the Athlete/Horse will be disqualified in accordance with the applicable article.
