John Crippen and Top Rock win The British Showjumping Business Partnership Winter Novice Qualifier
Monday 04 October 2010

The first weekend in October saw the Solihull Riding Club Development Classic Show host The British Showjumping Business Partnership Winter Novice Qualifier. With 29 of the 71 starters going through to the jump off the two qualifying place were hotly contested.
Chesham based John Crippen was drawn near the end of the class on Susan Goodman’s 8 year old bay gelding, Top Rock. With only four riders after him, John knew he had to jump clear in a quick time which is exactly what he did coming home in a time of 38.83 seconds.
After seeing John’s round 17 year old Joseph Hughes-Jones knew the task ahead wasn’t going to be easy. Riding his mother’s 8 year old chestnut mare, Two Mills Fabulous, Joseph put in a wonderful clear finishing in 39.80 seconds, good enough for second place and the remaining qualifying ticket.
Both the above combinations have qualified for British Showjumping Business Partnership Winter Novice Championship which will take place at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead on 26th – 31st July 2011.
