KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Regional Finals Continue at Dean Valley

The seventh KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Regional Final took place last weekend (Sunday 9th June 2013) at Dean Valley Woodford, Cheshire and the class proved to be popular, attracting 63 starters.
From the total number of starters, 14 combinations made it through into the final jump off and 8 combinations went on to achieve the treble clear required to qualify for the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final, which will be held at the Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival (25th – 31st August 2013).
The eventual winner of this regional final was 46 year-old Dawn Richards from Burnley, Lancashire and she was on board her own 6 year-old bay mare, Durton Clover Coleen. The combination produced an immaculate treble clear in a time of 42.06 seconds to take the win.
In second was 21 year-old Rhys Jones from Wrexham, Clwyd and he achieved his treble clear on his own Riverdance VI, a 10 year-old bay gelding. Their time of 42.21 seconds ensured a top two finish.
In third was 36 year-old Emily Morris from Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Emily rode her own 5 year-old bay gelding, Christopher 55 and this combination produced their treble clear in 48.56 seconds.
A further 5 combinations also achieved a treble clear and a total of 8 combinations went forward to the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final.

The Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival 2013 will take place from the 25th – 31st August 2013 at Staffordshire County Showground.
