Laura Renwick wins yet another Grand Prix with Bintang II

Sunday 29 October 2017

The formidable combination of Laura Renwick with her own and husband John’s in-form Bintang produced yet another Grand Prix win today.

Taking the Master Grand Prix title at the CSI 2* Mijas show in Spain, they topped the field of forty-three starters to claim the lion share of the prize money on offer.  The nine-strong jump-off field, all of whom had delivered clears in the first round, was a strong one but once again Laura left no stone unturned with the home produced and talented Bingtang to stop the clock clear in a time of 45.16 seconds to claim the top spot.

Santiago Nunez Riva (ESP) with Vidar were their closest rivals, however their time of 47.89 seconds saw them finish more than two seconds  behind Laura to slot into 2nd place.   Brazilian rider Sergio Neuppmann with Chicca Blue took 3rd place with a clear in 49.95 seconds whilst 4th went to Rikke Belinda Barker (DEN) with Zucces who were the final combination to jump clear in the second round in 50.97 seconds.
