May's Performance Award: TRUELEVA, RACHEL STEELS & MILLIE ALLEN
Tuesday 08 June 2010

Twelve year-old Millie Allen and Trueleva’s superb victory in the Bonheiden Children’s Grand Prix has been voted ‘Performance of the Month’ for May.
Millie riding Rachel Steels’ ten year-old bay mare Trueleva, jumped a superb double clear to take victory in the twelve strong jump off. Millie becomes the youngest ever recipient of the Performance Award.
The new Performance of the Month Award is an amalgamation of the former Showjumper and Owner of the Month Awards, and recognises the achievements of not just our riders, but our horses and owners too.
Chairman of Performance Development at British Showjumping, Clare Whitaker commented:
“We are delighted to announce the amalgamation of the Show Jumper and Owner of the Month Awards, into one monthly Award; ‘Performance of the Month’. The new award will not only recognise the fantastic achievements of our riders, but also our horses and their owners, without which none of it would be possible.
It gives me great pleasure to award the May Performance of the Month to Trueleva, Millie Allen and Rachel Steels, for their incredible win in the Bonheiden Childrens Grand Prix. My congratulations go to them and their hard working Team”.
Patrick Riley of Zamar TTT, sponsors of the Performance Award said:
“We are over the moon that Millie Allen has been given the Performance Award for May 2010. Our congratulations go out to Millie, the Team at Stainsby Grange and Mr and Mrs Steels, the owners of this extremely talented ten year-old bay mare, Trueleva”.
