Pony Second Rounds at Rockrose Equestrian Centre

Rockrose Equestrian Centre in East Lothian saw pony riders turn out to contest for qualification leading to two competitive Second Round classes.

Pony British Novice Second Round – Saturday 1st July 2017

Securing top spot on the leader board was 14 year-old Katy Mcfadyen from Kelso, Roxburghshire riding Seans Delight, an 8 year-old dun gelding owned by Gillian Mcfadyen. This partnership delivered an unbeatable treble clear in 37.92 seconds.

With ten qualification places on offer for the Pony British Novice Championship Final which will be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August, it proved to be a competitive class.

Pony Discovery Second Round - Sunday 2nd July 2017

13 year-old Emma Woods from Falkirk, Stirlingshire jumped into the lead riding Knix Unique Amethyst, a 12 year-old chestnut mare owned by Jonathan Woods. This pair claimed a fast treble clear in the eight horse jump off to cross the finish line in 29.46 seconds, securing a place in the Pony Discovery Final which will be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August.

The British Showjumping National Championships 2017 will take place during the 8th – 13th August at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
