ROBIN HOOD W SCOOPS $100,000 IN CALGARY GRAND PRIX
Monday 14 September 2009

Emma and Mike Phillips’ eleven year-old bay gelding, Robin Hood W scooped a whopping $100,000, taking third place in yesterday’s CN International Grand Prix in Calgary, Canada.
In a close fought competition that saw just two riders go through to a timed jump off, Robin Hood W partnered by twenty-six year-old Ben Maher, was unlucky not to join them in the battle for the $325,000 first prize, due to an unlucky time fault accrued in the first round. Victory went to US Olympic Gold medallist McLain Ward who snatched the win by just two hundredths of a second over Canada’s Eric Lamaze.
Patricia Fraser’s Rosinus (Rider Geoff Billington) finished in ninth place with Olga White’s Murka’s Pom d’Ami (Rider Peter Charles) close behind in tenth position.
