Rosie Pindar takes the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Second Round at the Scottish Summer Extravaganza
Thursday 19 July 2018
Rosie Pindar celebrated a coveted Horse of the Year Show qualifying place in the prestigious Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Final with victory in the second round at the Scottish Summer Extravaganza on Hanleen Beatrice.
Course-designer Raf Suarez reduced the 28 starters initially down to 10 over a 13-fence track, and just one was lost on the way in round two for a jump-off of nine.
It was still all to play for as riders aimed for the two much-sought after Horse of the Year passes on offer. However, Forres, North Scotland-based Rosie held off all challenges to take the top spot on Claire Shand’s 12-year-old Hanleen Beatrice, an Otis x For Pleasure mare she has competed for the past 14 months.
Louisa Milne Home was just 0.40 seconds in arrears for the second qualifying place on her own 11-year-old gelding Harry DV.
Only three treble clears were provided with those placed third to fifth gaining access to the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Masters at the British Showjumping National Championships and another HOYS qualifying chance.
