Sarah Barette from Jersey is the NAF Horse Five Star Style for Performance Champion

Sarah Barette (30) from Jersey, Channel Islands won the NAF Horse Five Star Style for Performance Class at Arena UK in Grantham, Lincolnshire back on Sunday 29th September 2013.
The NAF Horse Five Star Style for Performance Class is judged from the moment that you enter the ring to the moment you leave and Sarah topped the class on her own 9 year-old bay gelding, Santiago 212.
The class was judged by British Showjumping Coaches Selina Cawkwell, Philippa Curry and John Steels and they marked the competition on how the Style of the rider influenced the Performance of the horse.
Riders were marked on their effectiveness, position, balance, feel, timing, rhythm and impulsion to empower the horse to jump to the best of its ability. The overall presentation of the horse and rider combination was also a key consideration for this panel of experts.
NAF currently support the NAF British Showjumping Five Star Performance Awards Programmes and they kindly provided Sarah and Santiago 212 with a NAF Championship Rug and a selection of NAF products.
Riders who had attained their 3*, 4* or 5* Awards of the NAF British Showjumping Five Star Performance Awards were eligible to compete in this NAF Horse Five Star Style for Performance Class. Sarah and Santiago 212 beat off the challenge from several other competitors.
