Seven horses qualify for the Prestige Italia Big Star 6-year-old Final at Wellington Riding

Seven consistent combinations achieved treble clears in the Prestige Italia Big Star 6-year-old Qualifier at Wellington Riding Centre, Hants, to advance to the Final at the British Showjumping National Championships, Stoneleigh, in August.
Twenty-six competitors came forward to face a 10-fence 1.20m course, including a water jump, with 16 posting initial clears to access round two. The shortened and raised track lost three on the way to realise 13 for the final round.
Seven of these attained their aim to post three clean rounds – Michael Fursedonn on the Belgian-bred Charmeur Z V, Steven Franks with Super Gold Van De Fruitkorf Z (Stakkato Gold x Orame), Carron Nicol’s Hagen Nixon Van Het Meulenhof x Cupido stallion Rockdale Dwerse Hagen, Ashlea Silk-Jones aboard Diamant Top (Diamant De Plaisir x Graf Top), Sophie Austin on Mea Culpa 11 (Harley VDL x Ukato), Chris Moyce with Seranno 1st – a mare by Caretino Glory and out of Louise Lovegrove’s (nee Saywell) Super League Nations Cup ride Hello Winner (Sjimmie x Noncorde), and Izak Ketteridge on Rosita VD Bisschop (Di Cantero Van Ter Hurst Z x Vagabond De La Pomme).
There are now 13 horses qualified for the Prestige Italia Big Star 6-year-old Final with one qualifying leg to go at Arena UK’s second round show on 12 – 16 July.
