Speedi-Beet Sign Up for Third Year as Title Sponsors of the British Showjumping HOYS Grade C Championship

British Showjumping is pleased to reveal that Speedi-Beet, from British Horse Feeds, will be extending their sponsorship of the British Showjumping HOYS Grade C Championship into 2014. Next year will mark Speedi-Beet’s third year of alignment with the series, which culminates with the Championship Final at the Horse of the Year Show at Birmingham’s NEC. The Horse of the Year Show takes place during Wednesday 8th October - Sunday 12th October 2014.

The Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship Series is for registered horses in Grade, ridden by Adult, Associate or Pony Associate members. The 2013 series proved to be popular and nearly six hundred competitors came forward to contest the ten direct qualifiers that were held during May – August. This year’s thrilling Championship was won by the combination drawn last to go in the jump off, Richard Howley and Benedictus, a 7 year-old bay gelding owned by Ann Solis.

Speedi-Beet is high in fibre and can help to aid rapid rehydration for performance horses whilst optimising energy release rate. This is due to the soluble fibre in Speedi-Beet, which has a high water holding capacity increasing the amount of fluid in the horse’s hindgut. This reservoir can then be drawn upon during prolonged exercise to help replace water lost through sweating.

Will I’Anson, Sales Director at British Horse Feeds, said "The sponsorship of the HOYS Grade C Series has really enhanced the awareness of the use of Speedi-Beet for performance horses. We are delighted to be supporting the series again in 2014 and look forward to another exhilarating final."

Maria Clayton, British Showjumping Head of Communications, commented “We are delighted to be announcing British Horse Feeds’ continued alignment of the popular HOYS Grade C Championship via their Speedi-Beet brand. The Championship is the perfect platform for promoting the use of Speedi-Beet in performance horses as is not only well contested, but is also watched by a high number of spectators.”

Competitors will have the opportunity to qualify for the Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship 2014 at the ten direct qualifiers, which will be held during May – August.
