Team GBR Squad for the Rotterdam FEI Furusiyya 5* Nations Cup Announced

Rob Hoekstra, the World Class Showjumping Performance Manager has announced his squad of five that will be travelling to Rotterdam, The Netherlands for the fifth leg of the CSIO 5* Furusiyya Nations Cup competitions.
The 5* International Show commences on Thursday 19th June 2014 and finishes on Sunday 22nd June 2014 with the Nations Cup taking place on Friday 20th June at 15:45 hrs local time. The Grand Prix will then take place on Sunday 22nd June at 14:00 hrs local time.
The squad selected is as follows:
Joe Clee, who is based in Belgium and Utamaro d’Ecaussines a 10 year old bay stallion owned by Ludwig Criel. This combination achieved a double clear Grand Prix win at the CSI3* in Lummen earlier on this year and they also posted a strong performance as part of the Team that competed in the CSIO 5* Furusiyya Nations Cup competition at La Baule, France.
Jessie Drea, from Haywards Heath, West Sussex with Touchable, a 13 year-old chestnut mare owned by Lynne Humphries and Equine America. Jessie and Touchable were key members of the young British Team that won CSIO 3* Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in Odense, Denmark.
Holly Gillott from Loughborough, Leicestershire with her own and Graham Smith’s 9 year-old liver chestnut gelding, Dougie Douglas. This combination not only produced a double clear as part of the winning British Nations Cup Team in Odense, but they also went on to dominate and win the Odense Grand Prix with another double clear performance.
Spencer Roe, a World Class Development Programme rider, from Lincoln with his mother Sally’s 11 year-old bay gelding Wonder Why with whom he finished Team 4th in the Young Rider European Championships last summer. Spencer and Wonder Why were part of the British team that won the CSIO 5* Furusiyya Nations Cup competition last month at St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Guy Williams, from Canterbury, Kent with Caroline Phillips’ 10 year-old bay gelding Zaire with whom he won the Land Rover Grand Prix in Bordeaux earlier in the year. Guy and Zaire were also part of the British team that won in St. Gallen.
