Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Regional Finals Continue at Quainton Stud

The fifth Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Regional Final was held at Quainton Stud in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire on Sunday 2nd June 2013. The regional final proved to be popular, attracting a total of 65 eligible starting combinations.
Of the starters, 23 combinations made it through into the final jump off and 14 combinations then went on to produce the treble clear required to qualify for the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held at the Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival (25th – 31st August 2013).
The win was secured by 34 year-old Emma Jo Slater from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and she produced her treble clear on Lizziemary, a 7 year-old chestnut mare owned by Kim Barzilay. The combination’s fast time of 43.34 seconds ensured that they beat the rest of the field.
Second place was taken by 20 year-old Elizabeth Knight from Maidstone, Kent. Elizabeth achieved her treble clear on board Cult Flight, a 7 year-old bay gelding owned by David Knight. Their time of 43.63 seconds ensured a top two finish.
In third was 31 year-old Charlotte Foreman from Canterbury, Kent and she achieved her treble clear on board her own 9 year-old bay gelding, Zwen Magnus W. The combination produced their third clear round in 43.85 seconds.
A further 11 riders also achieved a treble clear and a total of 14 combinations qualified for the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Championship Final.

The Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival 2013 will take place from the 25th – 31st August 2013 at Staffordshire County Showground.
