Will Lewis tops the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Crofton Manor Equestrian Centre

Crofton Manor Equestrian Centre near Fareham, Hampshire held a Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round on Saturday and it was Will Lewis who gave the winning performance.

Forty-five keen combinations started out over Charles Ashworth’s course and each rider was hoping to secure a treble clear as this would see them take a place in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held during the British Showjumping National Championships in August.

Following two gripping rounds of jumping, it was left to just twelve combinations to continue to the final jump-off where they would go head to head against the clock to deliver a treble clear.

Will Lewis from Sittingbourne, Kent went in to the jump off full of confidence after producing two fast clear rounds on board Titanic De Moisenais, a 10 year-old bay gelding owned by Nikki Lewis. This partnership continued their turn of speed as they crossed the finish line on a treble clear in an unbeatable time of 37.12 seconds.

Making the journey from Beedon in Berkshire, Ryan O’Sullivan took second place riding Nicol Borwne’s 8 year-old bay gelding, Winterdown Braxton. This pair secured a treble clear in 39.96 seconds.

Third place went to Caroline Etherington from Liphook, Hampshire riding her own 7 year-old bay gelding Rumors Cassin. This combination stopped the clock on a treble clear in 43.99 seconds.

With another five combinations also achieving a treble clear, a total of eight combinations now go forward to the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final.
