Wednesday 02 September 2009

With the winter season looming, British Show Jumping are pleased to announce that another Winter series will be seeing the prestigious British Open Show Jumping Championships playing host to it’s final.
The Winter Grade C, is a heavily contested series across both the owner/rider membership in addition to those producing horses for International competition. Over the years, a true mix of winners have shone through at the final which was previously hosted at the Blue Chip Championships, one extremely notable one of which would be Ben Maher’s Olympic ride Rolette who won it with Andrew Saywell in 2005.
”Moving the Winter Grade C Final to the British Open Show Jumping Championships will give those competing Grade C horses a fantastic opportunity to qualify for a final at the Birmingham NEC. Competing through the winter for their qualifying places it will be great to see those horses being allowed to experience an International Show environment giving them an education that can only serve to enhance their future careers” said Liz Edgar, Chairman of UK Show Jumping Development.
