Points Allocations and Points Limits
The new points structure which commenced on the 14th April 2014 replacing ‘notional winnings’ will make it much easier for owners and riders to calculate their horses standings and class eligibility going forward.
Points Table for Horses and Ponies have been created to show how points are allocated with the added inclusion of points for double clears.
As part of this restructure and the fact that double clears are being rewarded, new limits have been put in place for those contesting national championships along with the upgrade levels for horses and ponies. The upgrade levels have now been made slightly higher to ensure horses consistently jumping double clears are not penalised.
Previous notional winnings have been converted into points on the basis of £1 = 1 point.
A full points allocation table for all height categories along with the new limits can be found on the link below in addition to how points will be allocated to horses contesting International shows within the United Kingdom and abroad.
