Essex Junior Academy Newsletter!
Friday 20 January 2012
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Welcome to the first newsletter for the Junior Academy for 2012
We are looking forward to welcoming new and old members of the Academy for many exciting training opportunities and events this year.......but if you would like to make any suggestions or send us your ideas for events you would like us to organise (if possible) please do let me or Annette know and we will see what we can do
There are quite a few rule changes that affect pony competitors (and seniors), too many to list here so if you would like to familiarise yourself with these changes go to www.britishshowjumping.co.uk, click on membership on the list on left then rule amendments. However one important one is that flu vacs and microchips will be necessary for all registered animals from 1st April 2012!!!
THIS LEADS NICELY ON TO REMINDING YOU ALL THAT THE AREA 40 (THATS US IN ESSEX) AGM IS TO BE HELD AT NORTON HEATH EC ON 26TH JANUARY 2012 AT 7.30PM BUFFETT INCLUDED!!
TRAINING
There will be training available on the following dates at Brook Farm TC, Stapleford Abbots
18th February
26th March
Both these dates will be Senior Area Training and Junior Academy training combined, trainer tba but I believe that Corinne Bracken and/or Alan Fazackerley are possibles!!!!
If you are interested in booking on either of these sessions or another date with Annette Lewis our Academy Coach please e mail, text or phone on 07831 522936
We are also trying to arrange a non mounted training session on fitting and using appropriate studs in readiness for the outdoor season, we are hoping this will be with a vet and/or farrier if anyone can suggest a venue or would like to offer their pony as a guinea pig.....obviously stud holes are needed then please contact me asap

FOR SALE/WANTS ETC
Kate Hornsby has a pony for sale "145.5cm JC, Class 1 registered Connemara. Kind, mild mannered and honest pony. My daughter has never fallen off him in 2.5 years! Also does a fab dressage test and cross country maching. Very sad sale" and also an Ifor Williams 505HB Trailer and has a friend who wants "8yo approx gelding jumping up to 1m £3500"
And finally my daughter, Melissa, is sadly now out of juniors and therefore we have a few ponies that reluctantly are for sale from British Novice to Fox, they will all still be out jumping with another rider until sold and I will continue to be your academy co-ordinator so will see many of you at shows sometime soon!!
Well I think that is all for now, please do send me any news, info, for sale, wanted, tack for sale etc that you would like to include in the next newsletter
best Regards, Alison
