Class 1 Unaffiliated Clear Round
Neither pony nor rider need to be registered with British Showjumping. Entries close a 10.00am.

Class 2 Dengie Winter League Pony Club Preliminary Round
Open to individual Pony Club Members, but excluding any combination of horse/pony and rider that have represented their Branch at OPEN (Summer) Area Qualifiers for The Pony Club Show Jumping Championships or any Rider who has competed at The Pony Club Open (Summer) Show Jumping Championships or The Pony Club Show Jumping Final at Hickstead. (This does not include any other classes held in conjunction with Area Qualifiers)
Qualification on a ratio basis (ie depending on entries). Qualifiers must jump clear in the first round.
Run in accordance with Pony Club Show Jumping Rules under the 2010 Rule Book and Dengie Rules 2012/2013.

Ponies may compete in one section only.

Class 5 Pony Discovery / 90cm Open
For registered ponies, to be ridden by junior members. Rule 408 Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Riders’ ages competing on 128cms / 138cms ponies in the Pony Discovery Section must be in accordance with Rules 77.12 / 77.13.
In the event of 30 or more starters class will be split. Ponies may compete in one section only.

Class 6 Springboard 128cms/138cms Restricted Handicap
For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior members, ages in accordance with Rule 77.12 and 77.13.
This competition is open to all, but for qualification purposes:
In the 128cms section Junior riders are eligible to enter, irrespective of points achieved, before the calendar year in which the age of 10 years is reached. Riders who reach the age of 10 years and over in the current calendar year, must not have won a total of 500 points. In the 138cms section Junior riders are eligible to enter, irrespective of points achieved, before the calendar year in which the age of 12 years is reached. Riders who reach the age of 12 years and over in the current calendar year must not have won a total of 850 points. Junior riders are not eligible to enter the 138cms section until the calendar year in which their 8th birthday is reached. 128cms ponies are not permitted to enter the 138cms section.
Once riders have competed at, or have ever qualified for RIHS or HOYS on any height pony they are no longer eligible to compete in the Final.
Rule 415, Table A. Two rounds not against the clock. All equal first in Round One will go forward to Round Two over a shortened course. Speed 325mpm. Height of fences: 128cms 90cms, 138cms 1.00m
Two double clears to qualify for the Final. Qualification is Pony/Rider combination. Ponies in the class must go into the jump off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification. In order to compete in the final, all qualified competitors’ ages must be in accordance with rule 77.12/77.13 in the year of the Final

Class 7 Blue Chip Pony Newcomers/1.00m Open (Both to include Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Qualifier)
For registered ponies. Rule 406 Table A7. Speed 325mpm. In the event of 30 or more starters class will be split.
Ponies may compete in one section only. The Open Section is open to all; however those ponies competing in either the Open or the Newcomer Section, ridden by Junior members who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship. Four double clears (subject to revision) to qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualification is Pony/rider Combination.

For registered horses to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members excluding any rider listed on the British Showjumping Gold League as of the 30th June 2014 and any horse/rider combination listed on the British Showjumping Silver League as of 30th June 2014. Riders who have ever competed as a team member of any Senior International Team, (Nations Cup, World, European Championships and Olympic Games) are not eligible. Pony Riders, Children, Juniors and Young Riders who have ever competed in Nations Cup/International Team Events and European Championships in the last five years are not eligible. (Excluding Veteran and Para Teams).
