Tuesday 25 July 2017
Danielle Hughes from Rhyl, Clwyd, riding her own horse Vampire III has qualified for the Horseware Bronze League Semi Final with a chance to compete in the Championship final taking place at Horse of the year Show in October.
Vampire III is a 15 year-old Dutch Warmblood by Osmium, a dressage stallion, and shares the same Grand Sire as Olympic dressage horse Valegro. This pair have been together for 18 months and after finishing 2nd in the league last year, they are looking to go one better this year. Danielle who works for the North Wales Police, considers herself a true amateur and is proud of Vampire III saying ‘He has only done sixteen competitive rounds during the league period. Fifteen of which were double clear and fourteen of which he was either 1st or 2nd. His very consistent form it has kept us at the top of the league, which is fantastic!’
The North Horseware Bronze League Championships take place at Bishop Burton College on the 5th-6th August 2017.
