JESSICA MENDOZA WINS THE 2009 JOHN WHITAKER INTERNATIONAL WINTER JA CLASSIC QUALIFIER

Twelve year old Jessica Mendoza from Chippenham, Wiltshire took first place in the John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic Qualifier, held at The Hand Equestrian Centre in Clevedon. Jessica had already qualified at Keysoe for the 2009 final which is to be held at The Royal Show in the summer.
 
Jessica riding Sarah Mendoza’s eleven year old chestnut mare Tixylix jumped three clear rounds in a jump off time of 40.67 seconds. Pippa Allen from Stockton-On-Tees took second place, qualifying her for the 2009 John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic final. Pippa was riding Bilton Ward Developments eleven year old dark bay mare Caprice III. Third place went to Abigail Newbery from Southampton securing her place in the final. Abigail was riding Tony Newberys’ eight year old bay mare Pauldarys Pocket Rocket. Fourth place went to Pippa Goddard from Canterbury snatching the last qualifying place of the class. Pippa was riding Pauline Plowmans’ nine year old bay gelding Delfino.

6th Chad Fellows riding Snatch – 0/E
7th Alice Palmer riding Knockbeg Westbury – 4 62.09 seconds
