What a fantastic day at the Scottish Academy Championships held at SNEC on Saturday 30th September 2023. With 26 Academy teams in total taking part it was a fabulous day of jumping.
This year introduced the new Academy Horse Team Championship which allows all ages of riders on horses at the Academies to take part, with 4 teams coming forward for this class.
Thank you to all the Academy members, Training Coordinators and Chef D’Equipes for organising the teams and making the show such a success.
Thank you to the Judges Jane Calder & Jodie Thompson, Course Designer Shaun Sands, Gate Stewards Craig Blackie & Kaz McCoy, and all the helpers on the day. Thank you to SNEC for having us this year for the Championship show, and for organising the 1st aid cover and arena party.
A big thank you to Gillian Beattie, show secretary for taking all the entries and sorting the times prior to the show and making sure everything ran smoothly on the day and Anne Logan for helping organise the show and spending the whole day ensuring the show ran well.
And of course a huge thank you to the Scottish Committee for sponsoring the whole show, it could not run without this support.
