First selections for International Experience Programme

Congratulations to Donna Callaghan for being selected to go through to the next stage of the selection process at Arena UK, were the final six will be selected on to the programme which is supported by Sport England. 

The selections for the first stage of the International Experience Programme took place at Chepstow International (30th April - 4th May). Riders who applied were expected to compete in the 1* or 2* at Chepstow.

During the show several workshops were held such as travelling horses abroad, FEI Clean Sport/Anti-Doping and Vet talks, along with course walks and their performance observations. The workshops were open to anyone who applied and the performance observations were for everyone who was eligible and asked to come forward for selection.

From Chepstow twelve riders were selected to go through to the next stage of the selection process at Arena UK, were the final six will be selected on to the programme which is supported by Sport England.

The following twelve have been selected through the first stage:

Zoe Henshall

Tristan Fell

Sarah Lundy

Ellie Meager

Amy Pritchard

Fay Raw

Zoe Smith

Laura Whittington

These riders will all compete at Arena UK next month and from there the final 6 riders will be selected on to the International Experience Programme to travel to an International show abroad later in the year.
