Golden Glory and Podium Success for Great Britain at the FEI Jumping European Championships for Young Riders, Juniors & Children

Great Britain celebrated a fantastic week of competition at the FEI Jumping European Championships for Young Riders, Juniors and Children, with the Children's team claiming an outstanding team gold medal, the Junior team securing silver, and individual podium finishes for Tabby Morgan-Evans and Noora von Bülow.

Children's Team Strike Gold

The British Children's team headed into Friday's team final with their sights firmly set on a podium finish, and what followed was a flawless display of teamwork and composure under pressure.

Charlie Barker and Special Summer were first into the arena, producing a superb clear round to give Great Britain the perfect start. Alexander Leggott followed aboard Blossom's Billy Heinz, adding a second immaculate clear to keep the team firmly in contention.

Third to go was Mia Breen with Crack 41, who delivered another faultless performance, leaving the team in an incredibly strong position heading into the final round.

With everything resting on the final combination, Tabby Morgan-Evans and Catoki rose to the occasion, producing the fourth consecutive clear round to complete a remarkable team performance.

Four riders, four clear rounds, and one unforgettable result saw Great Britain crowned Children's Team European Champions, taking home the gold medal in spectacular fashion.

Junior Team Claims European Silver

The Junior riders also enjoyed a fantastic team final, producing a determined performance that secured Great Britain a well-deserved silver medal.

Sophie Campbell and RHS Monbeg Marshall were first into the ring but were unfortunate to incur a pole down alongside a refusal, adding eight faults to their score.

Hollie Gerken and Joplin responded brilliantly with a stylish clear round before Nellie Lock and Diamantine Z were unlucky to have both the opening and final fences fall.

Cate Kerr and Petitfour Vd Wareslage kept the team's medal hopes alive with an excellent clear, before Emily Gulliver and Glamor de Vie completed the team's campaign with another superb faultless round.

Their combined efforts secured second place overall, earning Great Britain the Junior Team silver medal.

Young Riders Finish Just Outside the Medals

The Young Riders team delivered a determined performance throughout their team final, narrowly missing out on a podium place to finish fourth overall.

Amelie Gachoud and Lancaster got the team underway but were unfortunate to lower the final element of the combination. Lauren Caroline and Casago Du Rouet PS followed, adding 12 faults to the team score.

Olivia Sponer and Bingo Du Chateau produced a solid performance with just a single fence down, before Noora von Bülow and Primavera were also unlucky to incur one pole.

Rachel Proudley and Capri 117, the final British combination to compete, were unfortunate to have the first part of the combination down, leaving Great Britain just outside the medals in fourth place after a determined team effort.

Individual Medal Success

Following their outstanding contribution to the Children's team gold, Tabby Morgan-Evans and Catoki continued their exceptional form in the Children's Individual Final.

Producing a flawless clear in the opening round before repeating the performance with another superb clear in the second round, the combination secured an outstanding individual silver medal, adding another European accolade to an already memorable championship.

 

 

 

The medal success continued in the Young Riders Individual Final, where Noora von Bülow and Primavera produced two composed clear rounds to secure a place on the podium.

Their faultless performances earned them third place overall, taking home the individual bronze medal and rounding off a hugely successful championship for the British squad.

Congratulations to all of the riders, horses, owners, grooms, coaches and support teams on a fantastic week of competition and for representing Great Britain with such skill, determination and professionalism on the European stage.
