Practice Arena Stewards

Practice Arena Stewards play an important role in supporting the safe and smooth running of affiliated British Showjumping competitions. Appointed by the Show Organiser, the Practice Arena Steward is responsible to overseeing the practice arenas, ensuring that all activity complies with British Showjumping rules and that the welfare of the horse remains the top priority. Practice Arena Stewards help to create a safe, fair, and welcoming environment for all participants.

Practice Arena Stewards will not be categorised as British Showjumping Officials. While not recognized as an official, Practice Arena Stewards are an important part of the team - liaising with British Showjumping officials, riders, and organisers to maintain high standards of conduct, safety, and equine welfare.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about equestrian sport, have good communication skills, and are eager to contribute to the successful running of showjumping shows. A regional training day is provided to the successful applicants.
