Madison Heath Crowned British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway Champion

The final leg of the British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway Series brought the County Show season to an exciting conclusion on Thursday at the British Showjumping National Championships at Stoneleigh Park, with riders battling not only for the National Championship title but also coveted Horse of the Year Show qualifications.
With everything still to play for, the championship promised a thrilling finish. League leader David Harland arrived at Stoneleigh hoping to secure both victory and his Horse of the Year Show ticket. However, despite looking on course for success, a moment of miscommunication at fence 11 saw the partnership part company, bringing his championship hopes to an unfortunate end.
Seizing the opportunity was Madison Heath, who produced a superb round aboard the talented eight-year-old BP Millionaire to claim the British Showjumping Business Partnership International Stairway Championship title. The victory also secured the pair's place at the Horse of the Year Show this October.
Reflecting on her success, Madison said: "At the start of the week I couldn't jump a clear round… but I'm happy to go home now that we've got the title."
Having stepped up to bigger tracks throughout the season, BP Millionaire once again demonstrated his talent on the biggest stage.
"I didn't really want to put too much pressure on him, but he took to it well," Madison added.
While the championship title belonged to Madison and BP Millionaire, two further Horse of the Year Show qualifications were also awarded. Despite his disappointment in the final, David Harland secured the International Stairway League qualification thanks to his outstanding performances throughout the County Show season, while Joseph Trunkfield claimed the coveted Horse of the Year Show Wild Card League ticket.
The championship provided a fitting finale to another successful International Stairway Series, showcasing the quality of combinations progressing through the County Show circuit and setting the stage for an exciting Horse of the Year Show in October.
