Chepstow CSI 2* Day 4 – Keith Shore & Mystic Hurrican reign supreme
Sunday 01 May 2016

Keith Shore and Mystic Hurricane, took the Big Tour Grand Prix this afternoon at the Chepstow CSI 2* having produced a foot-perfect round across the touch and technical course designed by Alan Wade.
It was only five from the starting field of seventy that managed to jump clear in the first round with a further four who had left the fences unscathed but had the misfortune to accrue a single time penalty apiece.
The jump-saw Lauren Hough lower a fence on Royalty des Isles whilst Jess Dimmock delivered a great clear on Cybel II to finish in eventual 3rd place. Annabel Shields on Wet Wet Wet was unlucky when she took the risk of galloping to final oxer taking a front rail with her on the way to finish in 4th whilst Theo Simpson with Touch of Chilli produced an incredibly fast clear to take the lead before final rider Keith Shoe came forward.
Keith, drawn last to come forward, knew exactly what he needed to deliver and produced a round that was misleadingly quick to break the finish line some two seconds ahead of Theo to relegate him into second place and claim the title as his own. Talking afterwards Keith said “It was clever course-building – five clears says it all – and the questions were spread all over the track”.
Michael Fursedonn won the Medium Tour accumulator on Darcode whilst Jay Halim and Abrisco picked up second place whilst Emily Ward and Doobally took third.
Lauren Edwards took pole position in the Small Tour 1.30m with Bukato whilst Abbie Crippen with Vilka B took second and Graham Babes with Boucheron third.
