JORDAN NASON WINS THE 2009 JOHN WHITAKER INTERNATIONAL WINTER JA CLASSIC QUALIFIER

 
Fifteen year old Jordan Nason from Doncaster, South Yorkshire took first place in the 2009 John Whitaker International Winter JA Classic Qualifier, held at Ingliston Equestrian Centre in Scotland, last weekend. Jordan had already previously qualified for the final which will take place at The Royal Show in the summer.
 
Jordan took first place riding Regan Willetts’ twenty four year old palomino gelding, Gold Harvest, jumping three clear rounds in a jump off time of 36.11 seconds. Second place went to Pippa Allen riding Natasha Sewells’ thirteen year old bay stallion, Indien De Here. Pippa had four faults in a jump off time of 36.95 seconds qualifying her for the final in the summer. Third place went to Stephanie Gunn riding Simon Roes’ eleven year old grey mare, Cappagh Chino. Stephanie had four faults in a jump off time of 49.16 seconds qualifying her for the final. Fourth place went to Laura Robinson riding Neal Robinsons’ ten year old grey gelding, Paddy Power. Laura had four faults in the first round in a time of 70.83 seconds. Fifth place went to Daniel Thompson riding Selby Friars’ ten year old bay gelding, Crown Jewel. Daniel had four faults in the first round in a time of 72.46 seconds qualifying him for the final.

4th Laura Robinson riding Paddy Power – 4 – 70.83 seconds
5th Daniel Thompson riding Crown Jewel – 4 – 72.46 seconds - Qualified
6th Jordan Nason riding Another Dooley – 4 – 72.48 seconds
7th Graham Gillespie riding Peron II – 4 – 73.29 seconds
