2nd place finish in the Dortmund CSI4* Grand Prix for Robert Whitaker & Catwalk IV

Monday 11 March 2019

Robert Whitaker and the 16 year-old Catwalk IV, owned by Mandy Hall & Clare Whitaker, finished a strong 2nd in the Dortmund CSI4* Grand Prix yesterday.

It was only an eighth of the almost forty strong field that managed to achieve a double clear across the 1.60m course designed by Martin Otto.     For Robert, his time of 36.47 seconds just wasn’t fast enough to catch the eventual leader, home rider Michael Jung with the 11 year-old fischerChelsea.

Taking the lead by stopping the clock in 35.72 seconds, Robert was just less than a second behind him when broke the finish line 36.45 seconds.  This was enough to relegate Portuguese rider Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida with the 13 year-old GC Chopin’s Bushi into 3rd place and home rider Patrick Stuhlmeyer for Germany into 4th with Chacgrano.
