Charlene Bastone 3rd in CSI3* Vilamoura Grand Prix

It was a 3rd place finish for Charlene Bastone and her 13 year-old bay stallion Sanlou earlier today in the CSI3* Grand Prix at Vilamoura, Portugal.

From a field of twenty-six starters they were one of six that made it through to the jump-off having jumped clear in the first round.  Only Piergiorgi Bucci (ITA) and Celine Schoonbroodt-de-Azevedo (BEL) managed to attain another clear to take 1st and 2nd respectively whilst Charlene finished with 3 time penalties to take 3rd place behind them.

Fellow British rider Michael Whitaker took 4th with Q Paravatti N having posted the fastest round on 4 penalties ahead of Denise Wilson (USA) and Jens Baackmann (GER) who also finished on 4 penalties albeit in a slower time.
