Claudia Moore lands the World Ranking Grand Prix at Sancourt with Hardesther

Claudia Moore claimed a convincing victory in the 2* Grand Prix at Sancourt in France, with the eager Hardesther.

Thirty-three riders came forward to face a challenging 13-fence 1.45m track by course-designer Gauthier Delafontaine but only four found the key to gain access to the jump-off.

The other three were no match for Claudia as she used tight, smooth lines at a deceptively quick pace on the 11-year-old Kannan x Cardento mare to secure victory with 0.47 seconds to spare.

“It was a really tough track today with only four first-round clears.  I was delighted with Hardesther and was feeling confident, she’s been on top form all week.  I knew the jump off would be super-fast, so I just had to keep smooth and tight everywhere,” said Claudia.  “She’s top class and such a fighter, you know she is always trying her best for you when you canter in the ring. I couldn’t be happier – this is my first Grand Prix win of the season.”
