Elysia Heagren-Bond scoops the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Bicton Arena

Sixteen year-old Elysia Heagren-Bond from Maidenhead, Berkshire jumped straight in to first place in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Rounds which took place at Bicton Arena on Saturday riding Kerry Grimster’s Indien Legacy.

Against a starting field of fifty-two talented combinations, Elysia rode two clear rounds onboard the 9 year-old bay mare for a spot in the final jump off along with seven other strong combinations. Putting her foot to the floor, this combination proved unbeatable as they took top spot with a triple clear in just 35.01 seconds, well ahead of her nearest rival.
