Faye Adams seals the victory in the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier at Hartpury University Show

The SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier held at Hartpury University Show on Sunday, 18 December 2022 was won by Faye Adams, riding Sarah Hodgetts’ Quality C.

In total, 32 horse and rider combinations came forward to take on the 1.10m SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier, designed by Krissy Spiller. An impressive 16 of the initial starting field produced a first-round clear, with seven of those finishing on a clean sheet in the jump off, meaning the clock would decide top spot. In the end it was first to jump Faye, from Halesowen in the West Midlands, who rode tight turns and piloted the six-year-old grey gelding around the course for a double clear, in an unbeatable time of 35.39 seconds. Fifth to jump Rebecca Mason came the closest to catching Faye, finishing less than a second behind her in a time of 35.47 seconds.
